Overview of Titop Island
Situated about 14 kilometers east of Bai Chay in Halong Bay, Titop Island is a serene escape ideal for relaxation and exploration. Named after Soviet cosmonaut Gherman Titop, the island was once referred to as “Cemetery Island” due to a tragic shipwreck in 1905 where all hands were lost.
Titov Island boasts stunning scenery with white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, making it a popular destination for visitors, especially during the summer. Hikers can climb to the summit for breathtaking panoramic views of Halong Bay. The island is equipped with an array of facilities, including high-end resorts, restaurants, bars, and activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and skydiving. Beachgoers can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and delicious local seafood at nearby eateries.
To reach Titop Island, consider cruises such as Victory Star Cruise, Paradise Cruise, or Indochina Sails. This picturesque spot is a highlight of any Halong Bay trips, and you can also explore Lan Ha Bay or Bai Tu Long for more pristine locations.
